  1. Like your ideas !! How did you start the creativity group? I’m in Jhb & I would like to start my own ? Please advise, costs etc. Appreciate any help! Elaine

  2. Julie I need some help please. Maybe you can tell me how to transfer photos onto fabric. I tried the stuff from Dala, Perfect Picture, but the pictures don’t come out very clear. I know a few years back you could buy transferring paper and then just iron the pics on the fabric. I looked all over for this paper but cant find any. Seems like nobody is selling this stuff anymore. Any other suggestions? Or maybe you will know where I can get hold of the paper? I want to put our family holiday pictures on some scatter cushions covers.

You can email me at Laurettad@Me.com.
    Thank you so much

    1. Hi Lauretta

I’ve never tried transferring photos onto fabric. That scatter cushion with the photo of my son on it, seen in the magazine, is a photo that was printed onto canvas (the same canvas that you would then stretch over a wooden frame and hang on your wall). You should try doing that. You can go to any printing place that prints onto canvas 🙂 Please let me know how it goes and if possible send me pics of the finished cushions! I’d love to see!

  3. Hi there!!! Just read about you in Ideas mag. Congratulations on being picked as the winner!! LOVE your dolls. My granny used to make rag dolls for home industry shops when I was a little girl and I used to help her cut them out, trim threads and paint faces. Brought back such good memories. And it’s great to see another homeschooler being public about it. I’m a homeschooler & card maker (www.redcardcorner.blogspot.com). Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Julie!!!! I am about to be a mom to a new baby that is due in May and I am looking into unschooling 🙂 That is how I found your blog. My husband is from Australia and he is a graphic and web designer and we are living in Durban. I would like to chat with you on the subject, if you have the time. Jesus is my LIFE and that too is a subject I would loooooove to talk more about 🙂

Look forward to hearing from you
