Jewels in the King’s crown

Last Friday night we had our ladies art evening, surprise craft and mocktails at the Refuel coffee shop. The event was relaxed with French tunes, fairy lights, candles, cupcakes and coffee and those who didn’t feel like crafting mingled and enjoyed the company. I loved watching the ladies rummaging through the crates of fabric and trimmings and finding the stuff that inspired them. Our craft was to decorate an embroidery hoop in any way you wanted and what I enjoyed most of all was the freedom I saw in what people came up with. The ideas were as vastly different as the ladies that attended, a diverse group of beautiful women of all different ages and from all different backgrounds, swept up in a hive of creativity. I think you’re all pretty awesome. You inspired me with your ideas, individual beauty, elegance, grace and unique creations. I loved hanging with you. Lets do it again soon!

Delicious mocktails served up by the lovely Mrs WatermeyerA scratch patch of scraps to search through for hidden gems. And if crafting isn’t your thing there is always crime to fight and wrongs to rightI found Cristy’s mum in the kitchen washing up.twoslice rocking the coffee machine and the apron. Huge thanks to our baristas for serving up some incredible coffee, hot chocolate and laughs.
